I grew up in Lawrence, Kansas where the wheat flows like wine and every child's parents have dreams of watching their son or daughter play for the Jayhawks. Unfortunately for my parents, I had no skill for the game but did inherit a strong love of basketball. It was this love, in part, that led me to attend the University of Kansas where I eventually received a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. In 2010, I moved to Glenside, Pennsylvania to pursue a Master's of Arts in Religion from Westminster Theological Seminary. During my time there, my professors instilled in me a love for the Hebrew language, which led me to pursue a PhD in Semitic and Egyptian Languages and Literatures here, at The Catholic University of America beginning in 2015.

I have been working in Higher Education in various capacities for over 9 years, and my passion for helping undergraduate students navigate college life (and beyond) led me to join CACS during the Summer of 2019.
