Consider interviewing students on campus for full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities within your company.  On-Campus Interviewing (OCI) allows employers to recruit for high caliber students ready to meet your employment needs.  While recruiters can complete their interviews in one visit, it is also very convenient for students to interview on campus in the midst of a busy day of classes!  

OCI is ideal for companies who have long-term anticipated needs since the process takes about 5 weeks from posting to interviewing.  This allows ample time to promote the opportunities and for the selection process.

To participate in OCI, you will need to complete the following through Handshake:
  • create a Handshake account (if you do not already have one)
  • identify dates of interest (review potential dates on our Academic Calendar)
  • log into Handshake and click on 'Request an Interview' button
  • post your position(s)
  • receive applicants and select your candidates

To help make your OCI a successful experience for you, our office will publicize the opportunities by targeting students and appropriate student groups.  Additionally, we will secure your interview room(s) based on your specific needs.  

On the day of the interview, we will help your recruiters get situated so they can find your company's next hire! 

Timing and Location

Interviews are conducted Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and can be scheduled in customizable intervals based on the employer’s needs. Interviews are held in conveniently located spaces in the Pryzbyla Center or in our offices in McMahon Hall. Employers interested in promoting their opportunities prior to the interview date may also schedule an Information Session.

Employers recruiting at CUA are expected to be familiar with and follow the NACE Principles for Professional Practice for Career Service and Employment Professionals.
