Originally from Indiana, I attended Saint Mary's College as a first-generation college student and went on to pursue my Master's degree in English Literature at Wake Forest University. After finishing up grad school, I found my way to the nonprofit world in Washington DC, where I learned about various organizational missions through grant writing, finance, and operations.
My most recent work at Teens Run DC focused on the social-emotional development of youth, and this role made me keenly aware of the struggles facing students, outside of just academics. I am excited to bring this awareness to my role as an Academic Success Coach at Catholic University in helping students achieve their full potential. I have also served as an athletic coach, writing center tutor, and camp counselor, fostering my passion for working with young people. In my free time, I like exploring the District, cooking with my husband, hiking in the nearby mountains, running, and chilling with my two cats.
