I am an immigrant originally from Istanbul, Turkey, who has fallen in love with the beauty and liberty of America. I earned my PhD and MA in History from Georgetown University, master’s in Modern Turkish History with a specialization in Economic History from Bogazici University (Istanbul, Turkey), and BSc. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of London and Istanbul Bilgi University. My love for helping students and touching their lives directly in making the world a better place brought me into academic and career advising. I enjoy hiking, exploring new trails, watching and identifying birds, gardening, cooking steaks on my well-seasoned cast-iron skillet in my free time. Northern cardinal being my favorite bird, I look forward to serving the Cardinals to the best of my ability.
