"Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today". (Malcolm X)
I believe that education is empowering and helps both the individual and society. I am a first generation student who graduated from Indiana University with both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree in Sociology. I have extensive experience working in higher education, nationally and internationally, as an Instructor, Financial Aid counselor, Registrar and Academic Advisor. My passion is to help students identify and achieve their goals.
Before coming to Washington DC, I lived in Colorado for many years. I also lived in El Salvador for 4 years. In my free time, I love to travel, hike and read.
