Honors
Born and raised in New England, I received my B.A. in History and Africana Studies with Honors from the College of the Holy Cross and my M.A. with Distinction from Providence College. I moved to Washington, D.C., over seven years ago to continue my studies at American University, where I received a second Master’s degree. I also hold teaching certifications focusing on working with advanced students and students requiring accommodations.
Along with my studies, I enjoy documentary filmmaking and editing. I have produced three films since graduating college which have received numerous awards and screened as official selections at festivals across the country.
I am passionate about mentoring and assisting students however possible. Throughout my nearly ten years working in education, I have taken pride in creating welcoming, safe, and inclusive spaces for all my students. I currently live in Maryland with my wife, Lauren, and our cats.
